ADULTS: RESTORATIVE

FILLINGS

All of our dental filling materials are mercury-free!

Our adult patients are given the option to have nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, to make their appointments more comfortable. We replace and restore decayed tooth structure or broken fillings with beautiful, tooth-colored dental composite materials which match the shade and shape of your natural teeth. Our fillings help to strengthen your teeth and make them look their best, too.

We use the highest quality dental materials and our patients are actually given the options of what brand materials they would like us to use. Some of our filling materials are made by 3M, but you can always discuss your options with Dr. Wong in the office!

CROWNS, INLAYS, AND ONLAYS

Crowns, inlays, and onlays are lab-fabricated tooth restorations that help restore a decayed or broken down tooth to its natural shape and size. Crowns, inlays, and onlays are used to make your tooth feel stronger and look better. Sometimes, when a filling is too large for a tooth, that tooth is prone to fracture under stress (like chewing). On a case-by-case basis, a lab fabricated crown, inlay, or onlay made of either porcelain, zirconia, gold, or a metal alloy (you get to choose!), may be recommended for your tooth’s longevity. At least two dental visits are needed.

BRIDGES

A bridge is a lab-fabricated restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. Similar to a crown, a bridge can be made of various materials such as porcelain, zirconia, gold, or a metal alloy. A bridge is held in place by using the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth as anchors. A bridge prevents teeth from shifting, and maintains your healthy, vibrant smile. A bridge is completed in at least two dental visits.

REMOVABLE DENTURES (FULL OR PARTIAL)

Removable dentures are a great option to replace missing teeth, even if you’re missing all of your teeth! Sometimes removable dentures are made for patients who are not candidates for dental implants (link to implants). Dentures are held in place by fitting close against your upper and lower jaw ridges. Upper and lower dentures are lab fabricated to make your teeth and smile look and function as naturally as possible.

FIXED DENTURES (FULL OR PARTIAL)

Sometimes, dentures can be fixed to your mouth by existing teeth or implants (link to implants) for more stability and better functionality than removable dentures. The fixed dentures are made by a dental lab to look and feel as natural as possible. They are a great and comfortable way to replace multiple missing teeth. A certain number of implants (link to implants) are needed in order to fabricate a full implant overdenture. Discuss this with us in our office!
